LAX Los Angeles International airport guide
LAX
Los Angeles International
Los Angeles, United States
Notoriously sprawled. Horseshoe-shaped layout — terminal-to-terminal can require shuttle bus.

What to do on a layover
4h layover
Stay airside. Tom Bradley (TBIT) has good food + shops. Don't try to leave — traffic kills layovers.
8h layover
Take FlyAway to Union Station → quick visit to Olvera Street + Grand Central Market. Back 4h ahead.
12h layover
Add Hollywood or Venice Beach via Uber (~30-45 min each). Hilton + Westin LAX both nearby.
Wifi & connectivity
Free unlimited '_LAX-Free-WiFi'. Generally OK but spotty.
Sleep + rest options
Sleeping at LAX is rough — try Sleep 'n Fly pods at TBIT (paid). Hilton + Hyatt nearby.
⚠ Important gotcha
Rideshare requires walking to LAX-it lot — shuttle takes 10-15 min from terminal.
