Top tip
The Metro is small (only 3 lines, A/B/C). Buses fill most of the gap. The €1.50 single fare is valid for 100 minutes including transfers. Validate paper tickets at the orange machines before riding — €100+ fines if you don't.
⚠ Heads up: common scam
Rome buses get pickpocketed — esp. 64 from Termini to Vatican. Keep wallet/phone in a front pocket.
